Anna Marie Hewlett (Harris), age 83 of Springfield, MO, passed on to be with her Heavenly Father, where she was reunited with her husband Ed Hewlett on Saturday, July 11, 2026.

Marie was married to her husband Ed for 55 years, during which time they grew their beautiful family. Marie was preceded in death by her parents George and Elsie Harris and her sister Mary. Marie is survived by her brothers Phil (Jackie), Joe (Kris), George (Valerie), her children Mark (Kelly), Angela (Jeff), Kevin (Anne), her grandchildren, Nathan (Nicole), Dylan (Megan), Noah (Ellie), Melanie (Izzy), Alex (Reghan), Jacob, Mason, Owen, Sam, and her great-granddaughter Noa.

Marie was proud to be a member of Schweitzer United Methodist Church where she began attending when it was just a small chapel. Marie and Ed were married in that same chapel and devoted much of their time as members of the congregation. Marie especially continued her legacy as a teacher by devoting her time at church through bible study and vacation bible school.

Visitation will be held at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00 pm on Friday July 17, 2026, 1947 E. Seminole St. Springfield, MO 65804.

Visitation will be held at Schweitzer Church from 9:30-11:00 am on Saturday, July 18, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 am, 2747 E. Sunshine St. Springfield, MO 65804, sumc.co
