Anna Pearl Hall Osredker

June 19, 1933 – September 13, 2022

Anna Pearl (née Hall) Osredker, age 89, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at Birch Pointe Health and Rehabilitation in Springfield, Missouri. Born on June 19, 1933, to James W. and Sophia A. (Borders) Hall of West Plains, Missouri, she was the fifth of fifteen children.  Ann, as she came to be known, moved with her family to the Springfield area as a young child, and she attended Central High School. As a young woman in the early 1950s, Ann's first job was as an employee with the Sisters of Mercy during the new construction of St. John's Hospital at Cherokee and National Avenue. It was also during this time that she met the love of her life, Kenneth Norbert Osredker. Theirs was a love at first sight, and Kenneth married his "sweetheart" Ann a mere three months later at St. Joseph's Catholic Church on July 12, 1952. They enjoyed 68 years of marriage together and were blessed with five children.

Ann was a loving wife, mother, and friend. Blessed with a joyful and giving spirit, she was always there at a moment's notice to help her devoted husband, beloved family, and many friends. She enjoyed cross-stitch, playing cards with dear friends, bingo, or a day of shopping, especially with her daughter, Debbie. In addition to lovingly raising five children, she was employed at Springfield Public Schools for over twenty years and often spoke fondly of her co-workers from that time. Ann also loved to travel including visits to Yellowstone National Park and the Grand Canyon as well as numerous trips to Florida looking for seashells on the beautiful beaches of Sanibel Island.

Ann was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth, her parents, brothers Virgil, Herbert, Jim, Joe, Robert and Roy and three sisters Beulah, Betty and infant sister, Dixie. She is survived by her children Kenny (Susan) of Junction City, Oregon, Mike (Mary Beth) of Springfield, Gary (Deborah) of Nixa, Debbie (Jerry) of Springfield, and Tim (Kathy) of Springfield, nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren as well as siblings Barbara Applegate, Sue Anderson, Judy Morrison, Janie Tom and Dick Hall.

Visitation will be on Monday, Sept. 19, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Gorman Scharpf Funeral Home, 1947 East Seminole Street, Springfield, Missouri, for family and friends who may wish to visit.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September, 20 th , at 11:00 a.m in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery immediately following the service.

During the last few years of her life, she suffered from dementia. Our loving appreciation to Birch Pointe Health and Rehabilitation Center for their exceptional care of Ann in her final days.
