Angelyn Theresa Gennari departed this life into the arms of her loving Savior on May 20, 2011 at James River Care Center after a long illness. She was the third of six children of Joseph Louis Gennari, of Marsciano, Italy and Frances Agnes Brusca Gennari, of Montelepre , Sicily. She was born in St Louis, Missouri on December 3rd, 1931 and enjoyed a warm and loving Italian-American upbringing. She loved to sing Italian songs and cook Italian meals. She was preceded in death by her brothers Frank Dominic Gennari, Gilbert Armand Gennari and Nelson Edward Gennari. Both of her parents are deceased. She has two siblings remaining. She was united in marriage to Ted Krieg in St Louis, Missouri June 9, 1951 and was a loving wife and mother to Mary Krieg Brockman of Springfield, Rose Krieg Rook of Seattle and Frank Krieg of Dallas. She came to Springfield upon retirement ,to live near family, especially her daughter, Mary Brockman. She was so thankful to her children, her brother Roger Gennari and wife Leslie of St Louis Mo, sister Shirley and husband Jerry Nottebrook of Lake Ozark, Mo, her brother Nelson's widow Muriel Gennari of Charlotte, North Carolina, her brother Gilbert's widow, Helen Gennari of St. Louis, Mo and Ted and Mary Krieg of Anacortes Washington for their material and spiritual support in her declining years. The family also wishes to thank Dr Mark Milne and Dr Mark Dahlberg as well as James River Care Center and Hospice Compassus in her final weeks. A lifelong Christian, she derived great comfort from her association with Trinity Lutheran Church, the pastors, and the caring and supportive parishioners. She is survived by her three children, eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A memorial service is planned for Tuesday May 24, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Springfield, Missouri.
