Angela Carol Jones Shipley, age 70, of Springfield passed away on December 27th, 2013 at Mercy Hospital. She was born December 3rd, 1943 in Grove Spring, MO to O.J. and Cecile Louisa Marcum Jones. Angie was married and traveled the world, then came back to her roots in Springfield, MO. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, as well as a caregiver to many other children. Angela is survived by her daughter, Jill Hodges and her husband Greg; two sons, Joel Shipley and wife Donna, and Jeremy Shipley; four grandchildren; the father of her children, Robert Shipley; two sisters, Priscilla Evans and Kathryn Whitney; brother, Hymal Jones; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, December 31st, 2013, at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. until service time.
