Obituary

Andrew Richard Kramer, 26, of Crocker, MO passed away at 8:37am Saturday, August 4, 2018 in a motorcycle accident in Springfield, MO.

A US Marine veteran who was stationed with HMX-1 as a military policeman supporting the Marine One detail and traveled with the president outside of Washington, DC during his active duty tour, 2010–2015, stationed at Quantico, VA.  He had been an employee of Prime Trucking since June 2017, driving both Box and Flatbed semi-trucks and had changed to in-house in May 2018 until his passing.  He received his Missouri POST (Peace Officer Standards and Training) Certification in Feb 2018 and worked at the Pulaski County Sheriff's office from Mar 2017 until May 2017.  He was an Air Force Reservist for the 442 Civil Engineering unit at Whiteman AFB near Knob Noster, Missouri.  He was baptized as a Christian during his Marine Corps bootcamp in 2010.  He was a 2010 graduate of Flour Bluff High School in Corpus Christi, Texas and participated in the University Preparatory program that is partnered with TAMUCC (Texas A&M University Corpus Christi).  He participated in the TAMUCC Army ROTC for one semester during his time in the UP program.  He was with Ship 1 Sea Scouts with Bay Yacht Club and awarded the Young Yachtsman of the year for 2007 & 2008 and enjoyed sunfish sailing.  He was a People to People International student ambassador in the summer of 2005, going to Spain, Portugal and Italy.  He played baseball for 3 seasons with Laguna Little League and had the great experience of having his dad as his coach two seasons.  He was a member of Boy Scout troop #21.  He enjoyed the camping trips with the other boys and his dad and creating his own soapbox car with the help of his dad for the competition.

He was selfless, humble, funny, free-spirited, smart, charismatic, caring, an all around great person with a smile that would light up the room and the most awesome blue eyes.  He enjoyed playing his guitar and designing computer graphics for games.  He also enjoyed blacksmithing.  He loved his momma very much.

He was a loving Son, Brother, Nephew, Cousin, Grandson, Friend and MARINE.  He will be missed by many but never forgotten.

He was born June 12, 1992 in Gretna, LA to Caren DeLong.  He had a step-dad (1995-1996), John Blair with step-sisters Nicole Blair and Renee Blair (all now in Cambridge, OH).  Jack and Caren (DeLong) Neal II (1999-til death) raised Andrew in Corpus Christi, Texas.  His ex-wife Patricia Lyon (2012-2017) (Crocker, MO).  His half-siblings, Matt Kramer (Dallas, TX), Alyssa (Kramer) Menghini (Drums, PA), Kirsten Kramer (Smithville, TX), Branden Kramer (Reno, NV) and Robert Kramer (Reno, NV) and several nieces and nephews from the half-siblings.  His maternal Grandmother, Kathleen (Whitsel) DeLong (Bryan, OH) and deceased grandfather Wayne DeLong Jr.  Grandfather, Jack Neal (Georgetown, TX) and deceased grandmother Kathryn (Smith) Neal.  Aunts and Uncles: Coleen DeLong (Churubusco, IN), Wayne and Lisa DeLong III (Dacula, GA), Willard and Doris DeLong (Bryan, OH), Walter and Erin DeLong (Claremore, OK), Christopher and Patricia Spier (Plymouth, IN), Don and Christa (Neal) Heath (Round Rock, TX).  He is a cousin to several, Taylor DeLong (Pheonix, AZ), Blaine DeLong (Pheonix, AZ), Ashley DeLong (Dacula, GA), Alex DeLong (Dacula, GA), Ashley Winterbottom (Round Rock, TX), Kendall Heath (Austin, TX), Alexis Heath (Austin, TX), Aiden DeLong (Claremore, OK), Isaiah DeLong (Claremore, OK), Elijah DeLong (Claremore, OK) and Orion DeLong (Claremore, OK).

He will be laid to rest in the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery, Corpus Christi, Texas on September 28, 2018 at the 9am ceremony.
