Andrew Scott Boyts, age 59, of Battlefield, MO passed away peacefully Saturday, March 4, 2023, in his home surrounded by family, after a courageous battle with ALS. He was born December 20, 1963, the son of Tommy and Jo Boyts, in Springfield, MO.

He married his wife Daphne on March 6, 2004, and they had 19 wonderful years together. Andy graduated from nursing school in 2001 and later obtained his BSN. He worked for CoxHealth most of his career, most recently as the perioperative educator at Meyer Orthopedic Hospital. He loved people and was a friend to everyone. He loved the outdoors, traveling, St. Louis Cardinals, and the St. Louis Blues Hockey team. Andy was saved and baptized at a young age, and he loved the Lord. He was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church.

Andy is preceded in death by his father, Tommy Boyts; and his niece, Holly Shurvington. He is survived by his wife, Daphne; son, Drew Boyts; daughter, Katie Boyts; stepson, Curtis Jobe; stepdaughter, Danielle Shadrach and husband Jeff; and stepson, Cory Jobe; mother, Jo Kerr Hoover and husband Jim; sisters, Lorrie Newman and husband Randy and Jeannie Shurvington and husband Governor. In addition, he is survived by five grandchildren and five nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Friday, March 10, 2023, at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Funeral Service to follow at 2:00 PM in the funeral home. Interment will be at Maple Park Cemetery.
