Alvin Charles Rehkop Jr. passed away on April 24, 2012 at the age of 67 at Mercy St. Johns after a short illness. He was born July 24, 1944 in Pasa Robles, CA to Alvin and Norma Rehkop. He served in Korea in the United States Army. Once home from the service he wed Carrol Jean Andres on January 11, 1969. Five years later their only child Jason Lee Rehkop was born. Al was an accomplished upholsterer for more than 45 years. He loved family, friends, riding motorcycles, playing guitar, listening to John Prine music and enjoyed the great outdoors. He was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his mother, his brother Marc Rehkop, his sister Patricia Rehkop, his son and daughter-in-law and four grand-children Gaven Rehkop, Harrison Rehkop, Hunter Rehkop and Haily Rehkop. A celebration of life for Alvin Rehkop a.k.a. Al, butch, Dirty Al and Dirty Al the fire eater; will be held today, Thursday April 26 from 7:00 to 8:30pm in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held Friday April 27, 2012 starting at 2:00pm at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
