Alvin Lewis Craig, age 61, of Springfield passed away September 12, 2016 in his residence. He was born in Imboden, AR the son of Charles Emmitt and Mattie Kathline (Johnson) Craig.

He was a member of West and Lincoln Church of Christ.

Alvin is preceded in death by his parents and son, Keith Homer. He is survived by his daughters, Wendy (David) Brooks of Pontiac, MI, Shelby, Royal Oak, MI, Gloria, Springfield, MO and LaTylia, Buffalo, MO; brothers, Earnest and James Craig, Springfield, MO; sisters, Betty Craig, Springfield, MO and Mary (Leon) Dicus, Lockwood, MO; sister-in-law, Sheila Craig, Springfield, MO; uncle, Tommy Lee Johnson, Springfield, MO; grandchildren, Neveah and Xavion Wiles of Royal Oak, MI, Keith Homer, Jr., Harry (Anna) and Kendra Dixson, and Darren Simpson, Jr.; and great-grandchildren, Jaceion Simpson, Kaiden Dixson and Natalie Dixson.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, September 23, 2016 in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the in Hazelwood Cemetery. Visitation will precede services Friday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
