Born June 3, 1912, in Tunkhannock, PA, Almeda Leona Campbell passed away October 29, 2013. Having resided the last few years at Mercy Villa in Springfield, Missouri, she lived most of her life in Endwell, NY. Her parents Ruth and Nathaniel Lane, brothers Lloyd, Delbert, Marcean, and sister Nellie preceded her in death. Her husband Warren Gene Campbell, Sr. passed away July 12, 1980. Surviving are a son of Springfield, MO, Rev. Dr. Warren Gene Campbell; daughter-in-law, Betsy Campbell; grandchildren, Seth David Campbell (wife Kelli) Auburn, Washington, Stephen Andrew Campbell (wife Julie) Buffalo, NY, and Elizabeth Annette Vernheyn (husband Al) Marietta, GA. She had 9 great-grandchildren. Almeda was very active in the Berean Baptist Church, Endwell, NY having served in several capacities. Most noteworthy is the number of years that she provided floral bouquets each Sunday for her church and for other churches and nursing homes in the Endwell area. Burial at the Riverhurst Cemetery in Endwell, NY will be announced at a future date. Since Hospice was a special organization to Almeda, any donation in her name to a local hospice would be appreciated.
