Dr. Alfred L. "Vern" Lee, 68 of Springfield, MO passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2014. Vern was born on December 18, 1945 in Miami, OK to James Alfred and Thelma Proctor Lee. Vern graduated in 1970 from Palmer College of Chiropractic Medicine in Davenport, Iowa. He practiced for 35 years in the Miami, OK area. He was married to Susan L. Lee on December 31, 1977 in Miami. Vern loved to fish and camp. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, James Lee; and sister, Treva Root. Vern is survived by his wife, Susie, Springfield; and two nephews, Don Root and Michael Lee, both of Tulsa. Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2014 in Paul Thomas Funeral Home, Miami, OK. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
