Alex Hughes died in his home at the age of 51 on January 5, 2010. He graduated from Kickapoo High School and went to Missouri State University. He worked at Hutchens Industries for 33 years. He leaves behind his mother, Annie Hughes; one daughter, Catherine Hughes. He was preceded in death by his father, Gene Hughes; two brothers, Christopher and Chipper Hughes. He loved all outdoor activities, gardening was his favorite. He was a member of South Haven Baptist Church and was a proud member of the Abou Ben Adam Shrine. He also served for many years as the president of the Ridge Runners. He will be dearly missed by all that knew him. The funeral will be at a later date.
