IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Alda Carolyn
Watts
March 6, 1920 – November 20, 2018
Alda Carolyn Mahon Watts left this world on November 20, 2018. Alda was born March 6, 1920 to John and Pearl Rine Mahon on a farm south of Brownstown, IL, the youngest of seven children. She graduated from Brownstown High School as Valedictorian in 1939 and attended six months of Nurses Training in Macomb, IL. In August of 1939, she married Derald E. Watts, and they settled in Charleston, IL. In 1948, they moved to Branson, MO, where Derald started his business, Branson Dairy Products, which he operated until it was sold in 1970. She was an avid and skilled seamstress and quilter and demonstrated quilting at Silver Dollar City for many years, but her life's passion was being a mother. She was a longtime member of Branson Christian Church.
Alda was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, Ruth Box, and her grandson, Jeffrey David Box. She is survived by three daughters; Beverly Sparks of Raymore, MO, Kathy Firl of Springfield, and Barbara Lippincott of Dover, FL: nine grandchildren; Angela Weber, Kristen Box-Rojas, Mark Sparks, Julie Mullen, Aaron Newberry, Bethany Newberry, Zachary Firl, Vanessa Domann, and Grant Firl, and fourteen great-grandchildren.
