Obituary

Almon Monroe Williams, Jr., 80, Springfield, passed away Thursday, May 5, 2022 in Cox South, with his family at his side.  He was born July 8, 1941 in Aurora, MO, the son of Almon Monroe Williams and Maxine Holman Williams.

He attended the University of Missouri and earned a degree from the School of Agriculture and was an employee of Farmers Insurance Group. Al was a member of Brentwood Christian Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Jane Juffer.

Al is survived by his wife, Mary Margaret Williams, Springfield; daughters, Marla Beth and Karen Lee, Springfield; son, W. Frank Williams, Springfield; grandchildren, Blaine, Nathan and Zachary Hale, all of Springfield.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 9, 2022 in Brentwood Christian Church, with the Reverend Dr. Phil Snider and the Reverned Emily Bowen Marler, officiating, under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.  Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Hazelwood Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Ozarks Food Harvest, 2810 North Cedarbrook Ave., Springfield, MO 65803.
