Agnes L. Glunt, beloved mother and grandmother, 92 of Springfield, MO passed away at 2:45 a.m. on March 22, 2014. Agnes was the quintessential mother and grandmother. She was an early advocate of proper nutrition and an artist who made a variety of crafts in differing mediums. She was universally beloved by the school children. She taught in the inner city of Pittsburg, PA and gave hugs and encouragement freely. She will always be remembered for her wit, kindness and selflessness. She was truly a saint of God. She was a member of Gibson Chapel Presbyterian Church. Before retirement she had a long career as a paraprofessional with the Pittsburgh, PA Public Schools, where she was greatly loved by her students. Agnes is preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Katherine (Lavezoli) Smith; daughter, Katherine (Schultz) Kulwik; granddaughter, Jill Kulwik; and beloved friend, Edward Robben. She is survived by her son, Donald (Mary Kay) Glunt of Springfield, MO; grandchildren, Danielle and Donny Glunt of Springfield, MO; and great-granddaughter, Joey Lynn Johns of Pittsburg, PA. Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 11 a.m. in Gibson Presbyterian Church with the Reverend Donald T. Glunt officiating, under the direction of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.
