Agatha MoDeane Atteberry, 80, of Hollister, Missouri passed away on September 25, 2012 at Cox South Medical Center. She was born on May 23, 1932 to Otho Sartin and Faye Burdett in Seymour, MO, their only child. She married John F. Atteberry on July 11, 1950. They moved to Springfield, MO after John completed his service in the Air Force. MoDeane was employed with Dayco Co. until her retirement. She and John moved to Hollister in Clevenger Cove after his retirement. Her passion for antiques and decorating became more than a hobby. During the 1990's; her Springfield home and lake home were featured 3 times in Better Homes and Gardens Christmas issues. She was known for her knowledge of rare items and amazing decorating techniques. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband John and daughter Catherine Denise. She is survived by her daughter Cynthia (Syd) Monaghan, granddaughters, Jessica McNeal (Jesse), Sarah Ledbetter (Mike), and the soon arrival of her first great-granddaughter. She has been cremated; services will be at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield at a later date under the direction of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to American Diabetes Association.
