Obituary

Adam Edward Wilson was born to Thomas Derril Wilson and the late Julia Chambers Wilson on August 25, 1985.  He was a surprise then and has continued to be a surprise to everyone throughout his life. Adam was confirmed at the United Church of Christ in Blackburn, MO in May of 2001.  He went on to bless many people's lives.

His paternal grandparents, Derril & Wilma Wilson raised Adam until he was 15 years old.  After their passing, Adam came to reside with his Uncle Jim and Aunt Kat Wiley thereby forever enriching their lives.  In May 2006, Adam graduated from Spokane MO High School which was the life long dream of his grandmother.

While living in a group home in Springfield, Adam met his best friends for life, Tom Cobb and Brad Prost.  These two went on to take Adam to many NASCAR races giving him experiences few have ever had.  For many years Brad Prost and Kat Wiley were Adam's co-guardians.  Brad feels deeply that Adam became his brother with his wife, Desi as Adam's sister.  Brad and Desi's children, Bradley and Dane, became Adam's nephews very easily and he fit into their hearts. Brad tells a story that when Adam would be talking to Staff at the homes he resided in or the Doctors he would see, when asked if he had any brothers or sisters, he would perk up and say he had 6 brothers.  Brad would then explain that Adam counted Brad's brothers as his.  This warms the heart and the soul.

Adam was a race car driver by heart.  He met many NASCAR drivers that include his idol, Dale Ernhardt, Jr., Richard Petty, Kevin Harvick, Jimmie Johnson, Michael Waltrip, Carl Edwards, Martin Truex, Jr., Kyle Busch, Kurt Busch, Mark Martin, Matt Kenseth, Clint Browyer, Danika Patrick and Rusty Wallace.

Adam is survived by his father, Thomas D. Wilson, his Aunts and Uncles, Cristina & Frank Higgins, Jan & Steve Wilson and Kat & Jim Wiley along with his cousins, Cindy & Rick Jeffries, Wendy & Troy Lentz, Chantel Wilson, Nathan & Lisa Hill, Jason & Jan Higgins, Janna & Brent Viebrock, Rebecca & Richard Lemoine, Michelle & David Delgado, Alex Wilson & many close friends.
