Abbott A. Williams, Jr., passed away on July 27, 2015, at the Missouri Veterans Home. He was born on October 18, 1927 in rural Springfield, Missouri. Abbott married Binnie Mae in 1952 and they had three daughters. He was preceded in death by Binnie Mae, daughter, Susan Thomas and sister, Jeannette Reid. He is survived by daughter, Abba Williams of Tulsa; daughter, Linda and husband John Zipf; grandchildren, Mark and Sarah Thomas, Brad Thomas, Bob and Sarah Zipf and Jennifer and Cameron Stanton; six great grandchildren and another one due soon; brother-in-law, Kenneth Reid, one nephew and two nieces. Abbott was a long-time member of Freedom Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed visiting the Cowboy Church. He was a lifetime Cardinal Baseball fanatic and kept in touch with a large circle of friends. Funeral services have been provided by Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home, and graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, July 31st at Clear Creek Cemetery.
