Obituary

Aaron was born on November 21, 1974 to Wills Hensley and Dian (Allen) Hensley. Aaron passed away from natural causes on September 23, 2017.

He attended Parkview High School playing three (3) years of football for the PHS Vikings. Aaron worked for several years in management for Dillons Supermarket Stores before moving to Columbia to complete a double major at the University of Missouri. Aaron graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology/Sociology.

Aaron was a loving son, a faithful brother, and an enthusiastic uncle to nephew, Hayes. Aaron and Hayes enjoyed their intellectual conversations and hours of gaming together. Aaron was known for his big heart, kind soul, and sense of humor. Though Aaron was a 'big' guy he was best defined as a gentle giant and a talented self-made chef.

Aaron is survived by his father, Wills Hensley of Springfield; his mother, Dian (Allen) Hensley of Thayer, Mo; his brother, Andrew Hensley and fiancé, Katy Brandt; and nephew, Hayes Hensley.

Aaron is also survived by a host of extended family and friends. Aaron will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.

Aaron was preceded in death by his infant sister, Karmon Dian; his paternal grandparents, Homer and Bessie Hensley of Mansfield; his maternal grandparents, Helen and Archie Allen of Thayer; and uncles, Mike Allen and Frank Suddarth.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church, 11612 Memorial Dr., Houston, TX  77024, attention Hurricane Relief.

Graveside services will be Friday, September 29, 2017 at 11:00 am in Mansfield Cemetery under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.
