Mary M. Humble
August 23, 1919 - August 18, 2010
Mary Margaret (Ege) Humble, 90, of Springfield, Mo., passed away Aug 18, 2010. She was born Aug 23, 1919, to William Frederick and Sadie Magdalene Ege.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, E. Wilfred Humble and a grandson, Douglas W. Kemp.
She is survived by two daughters and son-in-laws, Jean and Max Kemp, of Republic and Janice and Bill Falke, of Chesterfield, Mo. Four grandchildren, Christopher Kemp, of Terre Haute, Ind., Tanya Bozdech of Wildwood, Mo., Tamara Weimer, of Rolla, Mo., and Kristin Miller, of Eureka, Mo; five great-grandchildren, Josh and Amber Kemp, Matt and Erin Bozdech and Colton Miller; plus numerous nieces and nephews.
Mary was a 1938 graduate of Central High School and a life long resident of Springfield. She was a member of South National Church of Christ for over thirty years until health prevented attendance.
Mary enjoyed craft fairs with her dear friend Ruth and going to shows in Branson. Her greatest joy was activities with her grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, August 20, 2010, in Gorman-Scharpf, 1947 E Seminole, Springfield. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, August 21, 2010, in the funeral home, with Dennis Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, 3506 N. National Ave. Springfield.
Maryís family extends itís thanks to Preferred Hospice and itís deepest gratitude and praise to each and every employee of Sonshine Manor in Republic, Mo., for the kind and loving care given to her for the past five years.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Employee Assistant Program of Sonshine Manor, 300 South Cottonwood, Republic, MO 65738.
